20 November, 2005   comments: (0) Resource Spotlight   Learn To Be A Workman Approved By God Every once in a while, I try to get in a good plug for a learning resource called 'A Workman Approved By God' which explains how to study the bible and avoid error. The people from Logos Bible Software recently contacted me about using the review I had previously written for this product. They're starting to bundle it with their products. Here's what they are offering, and also some new sample clips they've put online. 'A Workman Approved By God' is a 16 part video series that avoids telling you what the bible says, but instead shows you how to rightly determine it's meaning on your own. Logos has made a deal with CrossTV (the producers of the videos) to offer an optional DVD-ROM version of the product, allowing you to watch these videos on your computer. If you are not a technology geek like I am, don't worry. You can still order the VHS version of these videos from CrossTV. Here's a page that tells you more about what's on the videos. Logos has put a couple of video clips online, that give you a good intro to what this video set is all about. You can watch the sample clips using the links that are at the bottom of this page. I will admit that these videos are a little pricey, but they are well worth the money for anyone who values a deeper understanding of the bible. They made a major impact on me. In fact, I had a group of people watching these videos with me at my house on Friday nights, for months. They would be great for your church Sunday School program as well. You can also contact CrossTV and ask them for a free color catalog of all their video sets. I own a few of them, and have written about some of the others on this page. I happen to know that they are working on a new docu-drama of "Pilgrim's Progress", which they are hoping to have completed by Thanksgiving 2005.
