Calling-Out False Teachers And 'Naming Names'
Listen
Sites like Old Truth are magnets for the kind of criticism that says "you shouldn't point out error in others and call them out by name". But in this two-minute Q&A audio clip from the 2006 Shepherd's Conference, John MacArthur explains why it's necessary for public ministries to be exposed to public scrutiny. When a teacher holds up a set of beliefs as truth, their statements can be judged, and in fact SHOULD be judged, in light of scripture. Some say this is unloving, but it's actually a loving act to warn sheep of wolves in shepherd's clothing. In this 6 minute audio presentation, John MacArthur takes a look at what and how the Reformers preached. ... [Play/Download MP3]

But in this 3 minute audio clip, John MacArthur explains why the inability and unwillingness to distinguish true Christians from false is literally killing the church. ... [Play/Download MP3]

How Much Do You Love Christ? (Take The Test)
Listen
One early-church leader expressed his love for Christ in this way: "If my father were weeping on his knees before me, my mother hanging on my neck behind me, my brethren, sisters, and kinsfolk - howling on every side to retain me in a sinful course, I would fling my mother to the ground, run over my father, despise all of my kindred and tread them under my feet, that I might run unto Christ". This 31 minute audio clip based on the Puritan Thomas Vincent's book The True Christian's Love to The Unseen Christ could be considered a "questionnaire", useful for testing your own love for Christ. ...
